AIMS Week!

It's finally here!  This is AIMS week or as Mr. Lee likes to call it...Show Off week!  I sent home a schedule of testing last week so please look for it and keep those times in mind.  WOW!!! We have some awesome snacks for the week.  Thank you so much, the students will enjoy and appreciate the break and the goodie when done testing.

There are no tests this week and no spelling list.  I am sending home a reading log that needs to be turned in on Friday.  We are continuing our review and finishing up some of our amazing writing; all of which will be done in class.  I will not be sending home nightly homework beginning on Tuesday.

The Pinnacle Peak Auction is on Friday night!  Hope to see you there!

Enjoy your week.....

Cruising Through 4th Quarter!

Hi everyone,

It is hard to believe that we are already into 4th quarter and making quick work of it.  The students have come so far and have been doing so well, lots of hard work in Room 314!  I have just a few updates and a few items for a wish list as head into AIMS week.

  • AIMS Week is April 15-19 and we are testing on April 17-19 all day.  Please make a note of it and double check schedules.  Please make sure your child eats breakfast and has a good lunch..this always helps with motivation an energy.
  • April 19 is the PPES Fundraiser Auction..Hope to see everyone there!
  • April 30 is an Early Release Day
  • May 3 is BINGO night
  • May 8 is Nurse Appreciation Day

A few wish list items....

  • Kleenex!  We are completely out...lots of runny allergy noses:))
  • Page protectors..our portfolios are getting bigger!
Thank you to all of the parents who have donated items in the last month.   And, the Viking Feast was a huge success!  Thank you to everyone who came and helped or just came to say a big hello to their child.

There are no big tests as AIMS is approaching.  We are reviewing everyday for the Math and Reading in hopes of being super prepared.  We are studying Explorers in Social Studies and Astronomy in Science.  Math...we just finished fractions and now heading into color mapping and permutations.  There is a spelling test this week:))  The Astronomy test will be next week before AIMS but it will be open note.  The students are writing fabulous leprechaun stories, I can't wait for you to read them!

Please remind your child that toys are for recess and the legos need to stay in the backpacks please.  Also there seems to be an increase in bringing and turning on cell phones/itouches to text.  This is not OK and against policy.  The phone/itouch will be taken and given to the office for you to come and get so please just take a minute to remind your child the rules for the phone use.  I would really appreciate it...

We will be in need of AIMS snacks!  Send me an email if you are interested in donating a snack for the class.

OK...that is it for now..Have a great week!
